O8 was established in 2002 by supply chain professionals with a history of operational planning and consulting for multiple large enterprises.

Having experienced multiple projects where standard forecast driven MRP was identified as a problem for inventory and service level achievement, the founders developed models to support different methodologies based on Theory of Constraints and Lean planning logic. 

In 2016 O8 was certified as DDMRP compliant by the Demand Driven Institute.
